Description

The Clair de Lune Organic Folding Crib is the perfect solution for parents who want a convenient and comfortable sleeping space for their newborn. Crafted with GOTs-certified organic cotton, this crib is gentle on your baby's delicate skin and promotes a healthy sleeping environment. The breathable mesh side panels allow maximum airflow, regulating your little one’s temperature and keeping them comfortable all night. A premium, organic bamboo mattress provides a firm and supportive sleeping surface, and features the latest technology memory wool that promotes healthy spinal development. Bamboo is also naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic, making it ideal for sensitive skin. The mattress cover is also water-resistant and easy to clean, ensuring that your baby always has a hygienic sleeping surface. An eco-friendly, strong, durable and sustainable mattress – the wool can be composted at the end of the product's life! The Folding Crib is easy to set up and take down, making it perfect for parents who are short on space or who frequently travel. The compact design allows for easy storage, and the lightweight construction makes it easy to move from room to room. The lightweight and sustainable dressing is soft and breathable for use all year round and is tested to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. This means it's kind to your baby’s skin, as well as the planet. Safety is paramount, and the Organic Folding Crib meets all safety standards. The stationary design ensures that the crib stays securely in place, and the locking mechanism provides added security. It has been sustainably designed and crafted in the brand's Manchester-based factory, using the finest organic materials, with your newborn's comfort at the forefront of their minds. Suitable from birth to a maximum weight of 9 kg (or until baby begins to roll over, pull themselves up or sit unaided).

Our Stylist Says

I love this bassinet for its sleek, minimalist look and practical foldability, making it ideal for both small spaces and easy storage. The organic sage fabric adds a soft, natural touch that works beautifully in Scandi, boho, or modern interiors, especially when paired with timber tones and neutral palettes. Practical styling tips include positioning it in a cosy corner or next to your changing station, and dressing it up with textured throws or cushions in complementary colours. Its light wooden frame makes it versatile enough to blend seamlessly into various nursery styles, providing both function and understated elegance.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
