Description

The Cinder single light is a modern piece, which is excellent for outdoor lighting. The anthracite finish gives the light an edgy feel, while also being a neutral shade which keeps the light simple and classy. The overall shape and structure of the light is very modern, while also being stylish. Wall lights are a very practical feature when it comes to outdoor lighting due to the IP44 rating.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wall light for its sleek, modern silhouette and versatile anthracite finish, which lends it a contemporary yet understated appeal. It works really well in minimalist or industrial-style exteriors, providing focused lighting that enhances architectural features without overwhelming them. When styling, consider pairing it with other dark-hued or raw materials like brick, concrete, or timber for a cohesive look. Practical tips include installing it at a height that illuminates pathways or doorways effectively, while its downward-facing design keeps glare low and creates a welcoming glow. It’s a smart choice for those wanting both function and a clean aesthetic in their outdoor lighting scheme.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
