Description
A multicultural and ethnic design, enlivened by flashy, colours, contemporary and joyful. The German designer, Sebastian Herkner, has created a colourful furniture collection, inspired by the creative language of South America. The Cielo chair is handcrafted in Santa Marta, on the Caribbean coast in Colombia. Experienced craftsmen weave the threads of recycled plastic by hand using a traditional technique from their region called "Momposino". The combinations of light, fresh colours are inspired by the liveliness of the Caribbean coast. The Cielo chair is at once exuberant, rich in humanity, modern, colourful and full of vitality. A treat for the eyes and an invitation to travel. This creation exudes tradition and modernity, innovation and history, form and beauty all at once. The powder-coated steel tubular frame is made by ames in a long-established manufacturing plant in Bogotá. The Circo collection comes from the Sala project, born out of a journey to Colombia taken by designer Sebastian Herkner. Concerned with bringing originality and authenticity to his creations, he met local craftspeople who have managed to preserve and pass on real expertise and traditional production methods over the centuries.
