Designed with an offset base and 3m overhanging canopy, it provides generous shade without a central pole in the way – perfect for patios, decking, and larger seating areas. The durable polyester canopy features UPF30+ sun protection and comes in a choice of stylish colours, while the strong steel frame has a realistic wood-effect finish to pair beautifully with wooden or rattan furniture. Stylish Wood Effect FinishThe steel pole, ribs, and cross-base feature a realistic wood-effect coating. Combining the natural look of wood with the strength of steel, it’s durable, weather-resistant, and a stylish addition to any outdoor space – perfect for pairing with wooden or rattan furniture. Excellent UV ProtectionDurable 180gsm polyester canopy boasts a UPF30+ rating to provide excellent sun protection. Fast-drying and water-resistant, it also features an air vent at the top to increase airflow and keep you cool when relaxing underneath on a hot summer’s day. Locking Lever & CrankDesigned with a locking lever and crank handle for easy operation. Simply release the locking lever to move the overhanging canopy into position, then pull it back to lock. Once locked, turn the crank handle clockwise to open the canopy or anticlockwise to close it. Base Weights RequiredBanana parasol requires a set of cantilever base weights to keep it securely anchored. Simply place them over the 4.5cm steel cross-base to prevent it from toppling in breezy conditions. All Christow cantilever bases are available separately and are fully compatible. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
