I’m a fan of this fabric-front chest for its clean lines and soft beige-and-grey palette, which adds texture without overpowering a room. The lightweight drawers make it easy to organise clothes, home office bits or toys, while the slim metal frame keeps the look airy. It suits modern Scandi spaces as well as relaxed, boho-inspired corners and small hallways. On top, group a round mirror with a couple of matt-glaze vases and a shallow tray for keys or sunglasses. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
