Description

Get a retro luxury for your home décor with the Chloey Chandelier. This ceiling light comes in a polished nickel finish and is adorned with crystal effect droplets and beading, mimicking the classical elegance that you would find with 1920s hotel lighting. It also looks ideal when styled in any entranceway, or over a dining table or kitchen island for a statement appearance that is guaranteed to be the centre of attention.

Our Stylist Says

The Chloey Chandelier offers a sophisticated touch with its polished nickel finish, making it a versatile choice for both classic and contemporary interiors. I love how its subtle shine can elevate spaces like dining rooms, living areas, or even more luxe bathrooms. It works particularly well in rooms with a neutral palette, allowing the chandelier to be a focal point without overwhelming the decor. For styling tips, consider pairing it with soft textiles and metallic accents to create a cohesive look. Hanging it at the right height - around eye level when seated - ensures it adds drama without obstructing views or conversation flow. It’s a stylish, practical choice that balances glamour with functionality.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
