Description

Make a bold yet sophisticated statement with the Chevron Faux Fur Cushion in Charcoal, a rich-toned accent that adds depth and drama. At 45x45cm, this cushion is a striking addition to any soft furnishing mix. Its dark hue contrasts beautifully with lighter textiles, while the chevron faux fur texture introduces a layer of tactile interest.

Our Stylist Says

I love this cushion for adding both texture and visual interest to a neutral or contemporary interior. The chevron pattern in faux fur gives it a cosy yet modern feel, making it perfect for living rooms or bedrooms aiming for a chic, relaxed vibe. It works especially well layered on a sofa with other cushions in different textures and shades of grey or charcoal, creating a sophisticated monochrome scheme. Practical styling tip: pair it with smooth velvet or linen cushions for contrast, and position it where its tactile surface can be appreciated. This piece is especially ideal for scheme updates or for injecting a touch of luxe without the fuss, thanks to its rich texture and versatile colour.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
