I’m a fan of the clean geometry and subtle texture of this chevron chest - its herringbone veneer adds graphic interest without feeling busy, while the brass legs and handles lend a touch of warmth. It works equally well in Scandi-inspired, contemporary or modern-industrial schemes. Keep the top simple - perhaps a round mirror centred above, a small stack of art books and a single sculptural vase with fresh greenery - and balance its pale finish with darker soft furnishings nearby, such as a charcoal rug or cushions, to ground the look.
