Its solid platform top base offers a firm, stable surface for your mattress, delivering better orthopaedic support compared to slatted frames. Expertly crafted in the UK from quality timber and upholstered in plush velvet fabric, it adds a refined touch to both classic and modern bedrooms. The matching upholstered 54"/137cm Chesterfield headboard features deep cushioned panels with hand-tufted fabric button detailing, creating a statement piece that is perfect for sitting up in bed. Headboard front panel with the design is 32"/86cm in height. The base measures 34.5cm in height with gliders attached (30.5cm without) and is available in all standard UK sizes 2FT. 6 Small Single, 3FT Single, 4FT Small Double, 4FT. 6 Double, 5FT King, and 6FT Super King. Choose from practical storage options including No Drawers, 2 Drawers (same side), or 4 Drawers, making this velvet divan bed with headboard both stylish and functional. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
