The matching upholstered 54"/137cm Chesterfield headboard features deep cushioned panels with hand-tufted fabric button detailing, creating a statement piece that is perfect for sitting up in bed. Headboard front panel with the design is 32"/86cm in height. Choose from practical storage options including No Drawers, 2 Drawers (same side), or 4 Drawers, making this velvet divan bed with headboard both stylish and functional.
Our Stylist Says
I love this Chesterfield velvet divan bed base for its sleek, timeless design and plush ivory finish, which adds a touch of understated luxury to any bedroom. It's quite versatile and works well in both classic and contemporary interiors, especially when paired with soft, neutral colour schemes or vintage-inspired décor. Practical styling tips include layering with textured bedding and tufted cushions to emphasise the elegance, while the 54" headboard provides a comfortable feature for lounging. Since it’s a small double without drawers, it’s ideal for smaller bedrooms or spaces where minimal clutter is desired; you could complement it with decorative baskets or under-bed storage if additional space is needed. Overall, its clean lines and sophisticated fabric make it a stylish anchor piece for a refined yet cosy bedroom.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
