The Chesterfield Plush Velvet Floor Standing Headboard is the definition of refined luxury and contemporary craftsmanship. Upholstered in premium plush velvet, it features an intricate deep-padded chesterfield design with hand tufted button detailing for a sophisticated, tailored finish. At 54 tall, this floor standing headboard creates a striking focal point, offering both visual grandeur and superior back support for reading or relaxing in bed. Expertly handcrafted in the UK, the Chesterfield combines durability with elegance, perfectly complementing both modern and classic interiors. Designed to pair seamlessly with all standard UK divan bases. Headboard height from the floor is 54" 137cm, the front panel of the headboard is 32" 81cm. This headboard can be fitted into your existing base with screws or simply placed behind your bed and against the wall.
Our Stylist Says
I love this headboard for its combination of plush velvet upholstery and timeless Chesterfield style, which adds a touch of luxury without feeling overly formal. It works particularly well in contemporary bedrooms that aim for a sophisticated yet inviting look, especially when paired with neutral tones or soft pastel bedding. Practical styling tips include keeping the surrounding decor minimalist to let the headboard stand out, and adding cushions or throws in contrasting textures or colours for extra comfort and visual interest. Since it’s floor standing, it’s easy to move and adapt to different bed sizes or room layouts, making it a versatile choice for updating your space.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
