Description

I’m a fan of this chest for its clean-lined mix of natural timber and matte black metal - the chevron-effect drawer fronts bring subtle texture without overwhelming a room. It slots neatly into Scandi or industrial-style interiors and even softens up a more contemporary scheme.
For styling, keep the top surface simple: a low ceramic vase with fresh foliage, a pair of candles and a neat stack of books. In a hallway it works as a catch-all for keys and mail; in a living area you could add a slim table lamp to balance the height. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
