Description

Add a fresh look to the outside of your home with the Chelsea Curved Arm Wall Light. This wall light fixture comes in a mint green finish, adding a touch of character to your porch or entryway, and is IP44 rated to ensure water resistance against outdoor weather conditions. It also features a large clear glass shade which looks ideal when paired with a separately sold vintage filament light bulb for a decorative appearance.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wall light for its quirky, retro-inspired design combined with a fresh mint green finish, making it a great statement piece without overwhelming a space. It works particularly well in modern or eclectic interiors, adding a touch of colour and character to bedrooms, hallways, or even cosy reading corners. For styling, consider placing it next to vintage furniture or alongside other pastel accents for a harmonious look. Practical tips include using it as task lighting over bedside tables or as accent lighting along hallways-its curved arm adds a distinctive silhouette that instantly elevates the overall aesthetic. Just ensure you pair it with a warm bulb to enhance its cosy, inviting feel.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
