Description

Bring a stylish modern look to your porch or entryway with the Chelsea Curved Arm Wall Light. This wall light features a sleek Ivory finish which blends seamlessly with white walls and doors and has a stunning clear glass shade that looks perfect when paired with a separately sold vintage filament light bulb. It is also IP44 rated, meaning that it is water resistant against outdoor weather conditions.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wall light for its clean, understated design and soft ivory finish, which lends a timeless, versatile appeal. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, but can also add a subtle elegance to vintage or Scandi spaces. Practical styling tips include placing it beside a mirror or artwork to highlight key features, or pairing it with other soft lighting for a layered effect. It's ideal for bedrooms, hallways, or even bathrooms where a delicate, ambient glow is desired. Keep the bulb choice simple-an Edison or filament style bulb can enhance its retro charm, while maintaining a cosy, inviting atmosphere.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
