Price History

Description

The gorgeous Charlotte chrome chandelier is sure to give statement elegance to your home, with an arrangement of beading and droplets surrounding the curved arms and sconces to give a decorative edge to the fitting. A 2 tier structure ensures that you get a fantastic spread of light across the space surrounding the light, which is ideal for hanging centrally in the lounge, bedroom, or dining room.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Charlotte 9 Light Chandelier for its timeless chrome finish, which makes it a versatile pick in many interiors, from classic to contemporary. It works particularly well in elegant dining rooms or living spaces where you want to create a focal point with a sense of glamour. When styling, consider pairing it with minimalist or neutral decor to let the chandelier stand out, or complementing it with other metallic accents for a cohesive look. Practical tips include hanging it at the appropriate height - roughly 75-85cm above a dining table - and ensuring it’s paired with warm-white bulbs to soften the metallic shine. This piece is a real statement-maker, ideal for adding a touch of sophistication without overwhelming the space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
