I’m really taken with this companion table for its solid redwood build and clean lines - it feels equally at home alongside a contemporary metal bistro set or tucked into a more rustic, country-style corner. Its warm, honeyed tones work well with both pale pastels and deeper, natural greens, making it a versatile piece for patios, conservatories or even a snug garden-facing nook indoors.
Styling-wise, use the slatted top to display a pair of galvanised plant pots or a small tray for drinks, and let the lower shelf hold extra cushions, magazines or a few larger terracotta pots. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
