Description

About The Challenge The Conventions By Natasha Muluswela In partnership with The Prince’s Trust, we have teamed up for their #ChangeAGirls. Life campaign that recognises and addresses the challenges that young women in the UK face today. With the campaign centred around Women Supporting Women, we launched a creative competition for talented young female artists from all over the UK to create a piece of artwork that captures the spirit of what this message means to them. We received an exceptional amount of truly inspiring pieces, which we whittled down to 6 worthy winners, with each winner's artwork created into professional art prints that are guaranteed to make a statement on any stylish gallery wall. In support of the #ChangeAGirls. Life campaign, we are donating 25% from every sale of this print directly to The Prince’s Trust, to help empower, nurture and transform the lives of young women. Challenge The Conventions by Natasha Muluswela questions and confronts what society deems to be beautiful by exploring inspirations that range from vitiligo, to stretch marks and ageism. In some parts of the world, these conditions are seen as shameful or have stigma tied to them, so with an aim to normalise bodily differences, Natasha concentrates on how these unique markings made by nature are instead a true and beautiful part of human existence. Natasha’s illustrated artwork depicts how as human beings, we are all different and have unique attributes that should be embraced. In a world where society can deem imperfections as different, she expresses how these features are a cause of celebration. This A2 art print is available framed or unframed. Why We Think You’ll Love The Challenge The Conventions Artwork By Natasha Muluswela 26 year old Natasha Muluswela is a Zimbabwean born artist currently living in the United Kingdom. Different cultures and people have always had an integral influence on her life, which in turn translates into her art. Focusing on the important theme of body positivity and what it means to be uniquely beautiful in the face of society's unrealistic beauty standards, Natasha creates incredible pieces of art that celebrate the diversity of the female body - a sight that she wished to have seen whilst she was growing up. Where To Style The Natasha Muluswela Original Artwork Named Challenge The Convnetions This inspiring piece of statement artwork not only deserves to be seen but it’s a marvellous talking point too. We suggest displaying it in a high traffic area of your home such as the living room or hallway on a fabulous feature wall. It would also make an extraordinary gift for a woman or girl in your life so this inspirational message is passed on. Rockett St George will donate 25% of all sales from this product between 8th March 2022 - 8th March 2023 to The Prince's Trust in support of the #ChangeAGirls. Life campaign. Our Stylist Says

I love this piece because of its bold, expressive quality that makes it stand out in any room. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors where it can serve as a focal point, but it can also add an unexpected touch to more eclectic or industrial spaces. When styling, consider pairing it with sleek, understated furniture to keep the focus on the artwork, or mount it unframed for a more edgy, modern feel. Practical tips include hanging it at eye level and creating a gallery wall with complementary pieces for a personalised look. Whether framed or unframed, this artwork makes a confident statement and can easily elevate the character of your space.

About Rockett St George

Established in 2007, they offer unique, quirky and design-led homeware and furniture. Their range is perfect for those looking to add a dash of playful individuality to their home.

Rockett St George's Inspiring Start

Back in 2007, on a not-so-sunny Lanzarote vacation, Lucy and Jane had a bright idea by the pool. Both loved old markets and changing up their homes, so they thought, "Why not create an online store for unique home items?"

With Jane's skills in PR and photos and Lucy knowing all about selling, they started Rockett St George. They purchased a 'Website for Dummies' book, pooled their savings, and voilà - Rockett St George was launched!

What began as a twinkle in their eyes has today blossomed into a renowned brand, steered by over 50 passionate team members, 5 warehouses, 2,500 eclectic products, an award-winning blog, and two celebrated interior design books.

Defining Home - The Rockett St George Way

Home is where the heart is, and for Rockett St George, it's about creating personal sanctuaries. Their ethos is grounded in curating spaces that aren't just houses, but homes brimming with personality. Be it glamorous, eclectic, witty, or rock 'n' roll-inspired pieces, their treasure hunts across the globe ensure that every item they offer is singular and inspiring.

But beyond their unique products, the brand goes the extra mile to engage with their community. From a dynamic blog to exclusive events, their quest is to inspire fearlessness in interior design.

Sustainability - A Core Endeavour

At the heart of Rockett St George lies a resolute commitment to sustainability. They don't just sell products; they are on a mission - one that involves sourcing of eco-friendly items and continually revamping operational practices to minimise environmental footprints.
