Price History
Description
Practical and compact, the Chalet chest of drawers pairs an oak finish with generous drawer storage, offering serious everyday storage in a footprint that won't overwhelm the room. At 82cm wide, Its footprint is generous enough to offer serious everyday capacity while still fitting comfortably against a typical bedroom wall. Each drawer runs smoothly and offers proper depth, so folded clothing, linens or general household items all have a dedicated home rather than being piled on top of each other, and the consistent oak finish across every drawer front keeps the whole piece looking coordinated rather than mismatched. A cupboard door adds a further section for bulkier or less frequently used items, giving you a mix of open drawer storage and a closed compartment in one compact footprint. Construction quality runs right through the piece, meaning it's built to earn its keep as a genuine long-term fixture rather than something you'll be replacing in a year or two. Whether you're setting up a first flat, refreshing a family bedroom, or simply trying to get on top of clutter that's spread across surfaces, it offers a genuinely practical way to bring everything back under control. On the practical side, it comes with the option of professional assembly, which takes the hassle out of getting furniture built and positioned correctly. With its blend of everyday practicality and contemporary styling, the Chalet chest of drawers is a straightforward way to bring lasting, organised storage into a modern home, without needing to compromise on how the room looks and feels.
Our Stylist Says
I love this oak combo chest for its versatile and contemporary look-it works well in both modern and more traditional interiors, particularly when you want to introduce some natural warmth. Its mix of drawers and a door makes it a practical piece for keeping a room tidy, whether for bedroom essentials, office supplies, or living room accessories. For styling, consider pairing it with minimalistic or neutral decor to highlight the wood's natural grain, or add on some textured textiles or metallic accents for a more eclectic feel. Practical tips include using the top surface for decorative items like plants or lamps to soften the utilitarian vibe and maximise its full potential.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
