Hans J. Wegner's inviting CH78 'Mama Bear' Chair was re-launched for 2020 by Danish furniture experts. Carl Hansen & Søn. The 1954 design is handcrafted by master craftspeople, combining a refined oak foundation with smooth, rounded curves of Kvadrat's Norwegian-made new wool Fiord upholstery. Always striving towards organic simplicity, Hans J. Wegner was a visionary in his field. Lauded for his ability to create sculptural beauty, comfort and outstanding stability, Wegner designed over 500 different chairs in a feat that earnt him the reputation as one of the 20th century's most prolific designers.
