The beautifully handcrafted CH44 Armchair by Hans J. Wegner is designed with a low, reclined frame for enhanced comfort. The carefully selected materials give it a soft, calming appearance, and its lightweight frame make this chair an ideal companion to any interior scheme. Designed in 1965, the frame is constructed from solid soap oak, which is admired for its raw wood grain, and the seat is hand-woven from natural paper cord. The design uses timbers sourced from responsible sawmills in Wegner's native Denmark. The CH44 armchair boasts a decorative ladder back and small footprint - making it easy to move and taking up relatively little space. This offering is perfect where a heavy armchair would be too dominant and a lighter look is required for an airy, naked approach to interior design which is effortlessly modern and inspiring.
