Description
One of the earliest models by Danish designer Hans J. Wegner, the CH25 Low Armchair was first designed in 1950 for Carl Hansen & Søn and is now considered a classic example of mid-century modern design. The armchair is crafted from solid wood and finished with a hand-woven seat using a distinctive pattern that requires more than 400 metres of paper cord. It takes a trained craftsman eight-ten hours to complete a single chair. With such delicacy, care and attention to detail going into each individual model, the CH25 is a tribute to traditional craftsmanship, with a light, natural appearance that handsomely complements a variety of interior styles. An ideal chair to sit and while away the time, on a lazy afternoon, its low reclining back makes this the ultimate choice for relaxation.
