Description

An original Habitat design, the Celia 6-10 seater oak extending dining table has a contemporary feel with plenty of personality. Crafted from oak veneer that highlights its attractive wood grain, its sleek surfaces are complemented by elliptical edges and circular legs. The sturdy table will fit perfectly in a kitchen or dining room and is made for everyday use. This table’s extra leaves are stored underneath the table top for convenience and can easily be taken out to convert the table from a 6 seater to a 10 seater. Made in Europe, this table can be paired with the matching Celia bench for an elegant touch. Part of the Celia range, it’s also available in walnut veneer.

Our Stylist Says

I love this table for its clean, timeless design and versatility. It works exceptionally well in both modern and traditional interiors, adding warmth and natural texture to dining spaces. The oak finish creates a welcoming focal point, especially when paired with upholstered or wooden chairs. Practical styling tips include keeping the table light with neutral or pastel linens, or going with bold colours if your space is more eclectic. Its extendable feature also makes it ideal for flexible dining arrangements-perfect for both everyday meals and larger gatherings. Overall, it’s a functional yet stylish piece that can adapt to a variety of interiors.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
