I’m a fan of the Tyron ceramic extending table for its clean, architectural lines and practical versatility - it stretches from 182 cm to 258 cm, so it’s just as at home in a compact city flat as in a spacious open plan. The bronze cross-leg base gives it a subtle sculptural edge that suits contemporary, industrial or minimalist schemes, while the ceramic top is hardwearing and easy to wipe clean.
For styling, pair it with slim-profile chairs in leather or metal to mirror the base, or introduce upholstered seats in a soft neutral to soften the look. Keep centrepieces low - think a row of simple candles or a sculptural ceramic vase - so you don’t break the line of sight when it’s in its extended form. A linear pendant light hung centrally will finish the setting and emphasise the table’s length.
