Description

Stylish and sustainable, our Castro Bookshelf features herringbone panels of richly coloured reclaimed teak, elegantly splayed metal legs and sleek metal hardware. An asymmetrical arrangement of shelves allows you to carefully curate an arrangement of books and decorative ornaments. The open back allows items to shine against your wall colour. There is cupboard space beneath with shelving for additional storage. Discover our full Castro Range.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Castro as a versatile statement piece that combines both open shelving and enclosed storage, making it perfect for a range of interiors from mid-century modern to Scandinavian or contemporary schemes. Its clean lines and warm wood tones add natural texture and a cosy touch to any room. For styling, consider balancing books with decorative objects like vases, ceramics, or framed photos to create visual interest. It works well in living rooms as a feature storage unit or in offices to hide away clutter. Practical tips include grouping similar items vertically or horizontally for an organised look, and leaving some shelves intentionally sparse to prevent visual overcrowding and enhance its sleek silhouette.

About Cox and Cox

Founded in 2001, Cox and Cox puts a focus on unique designs and high-quality craftsmanship to help bring a touch of elegance and individuality to every room.

Origins and Evolution

Cox & Cox has a rich history that intertwines with British interior design. The brand traces its roots to Fiona Cox, a renowned figure in the UK's design scene who made waves with her appearance on the BBC's hit show, Home Front.

Fast forward to today, and they're stationed in Frome, Somerset, having evolved from tiny decorative trinkets to an expansive range of stylish furniture and more.

Globe-Trotting for the Perfect Piece

The team at Cox & Cox have a knack for hunting down unique pieces. They travel around the globe, exploring markets, meeting artisans, and diving into the world of design.

Out of the hundreds of items they come across, they meticulously select those that align with their ethos high-quality, functional, and stylish. And, with their offerings split into six distinct trends, they've got a bit of inspiration for every kind of home lover.

Marching Towards Sustainability

Cox & Cox is not just about aesthetic appeal; they are deeply committed to becoming a responsible brand.

Recognizing the long journey towards true sustainability, they've put in place an advisory board dedicated to advancing the use of sustainable materials and promoting responsible practices, both domestically and abroad. They're continually reviewing their processes and are optimistic about making significant strides in sustainability in the coming years.
