Price History

Description

Cast combines weight and utility in a refined, low-profile silhouette. Its weighted cast iron construction makes it an ideal trivet, a stable base for a pillar candle, or a tactile trinket dish for small treasures. It is an eccentric, highly giftable object that proves the most practical items can also be the most striking. Each piece is individually sand-cast from iron and finished with a durable powder coating, ensuring no two are exactly alike. We intentionally celebrate the subtle irregularities born from this handcrafted process, giving every object its own unique character and soul.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Cast Flat Crown for its bold, sculptural presence; it works well as a statement piece on its own or layered with other accessories for a more eclectic look. Its distinctive crown-like shape makes it a versatile choice that can complement modern, industrial, or even minimalist interiors-adding a touch of playful sophistication. Practical styling tips include using it as a centrepiece on a dining table or coffee table, or grouping a few together with candles of varying heights for added visual interest. Its striking black finish also lends itself well to monochrome schemes or spaces with subdued colour palettes, giving a contemporary edge without overwhelming the room.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
