Description

Design. This unique Promesse Side Table will add luxury, personality and a stunning focus point to your living area. Its distinctive top is crafted from Teak Wood, which is what gives this side table its characteristic look. The stainless steel leg adds so much charisma to the table which allows it to be a perfect addition to both country and contemporary styled homes.

Our Stylist Says

The Caspian Promesse is a fantastic choice for adding natural texture and warmth to a variety of interiors, thanks to its striking combination of rustic timber and sleek metal base. I love how it can work just as well in contemporary as well as more eclectic spaces, offering both practicality and visual interest. Its organic, live-edge top invites styling with minimal accessories like a vase or a book, while the sturdy, sculptural base ensures it can serve as a statement piece or a functional side table. For practical styling, consider pairing it with earthy tones or layered textures to bring out its natural appeal, and don’t be afraid to combine it with other materials like metal or glass for a balanced look.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
