Description

Design. Made from reclaimed wood in scaffolding finish, this quirky side table is sure to add luxury, personality and become a stunning focal point of your living space. Its sleek stainless steel leg offers a beautiful contrast against the natural wooden top with its grey tone creating the perfect blend of traditional and modern designs.

Our Stylist Says

I love this side table for its versatile, understated style and the way its reclaimed wood top adds warmth and texture to a space. The grey finish makes it adaptable across a variety of interiors, from contemporary to rustic or coastal schemes. It works especially well in minimalist settings where it can provide a subtle contrast, or in more eclectic spaces as a neutral anchor. I recommend styling it with a small lamp, a stack of books, or a delicate vase to create a practical yet inviting touch. Its compact size makes it ideal for use beside sofas, armchairs, or beds, offering easy access without overwhelming the room. Overall, it’s a simple, stylish piece that can add character and function to many different rooms.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
