Description

Carter Industrial Ceiling Pendant, Bronze

Our Stylist Says

I love this pendant because of its sleek, industrial vibe combined with the warm bronze finish, which adds a touch of richness. It works particularly well in eclectic, modern, or loft-style interiors where metallic accents are celebrated. For styling tips, consider pairing it with exposed brick walls or concrete surfaces to amplify its industrial appeal. It also looks great when grouped over a kitchen island or dining table for a statement lighting feature. To keep the look cohesive, pair it with other bronze or brass accessories, and use warm bulbs to highlight its finish. Overall, this pendant offers a stylish yet practical lighting solution that can elevate a variety of contemporary interiors.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
