The use of solid Elm wood in a mocha finish adds a distinctive statement look, whilst beautifully showing off the wood grain. I’m a fan of the Carnegie set because its warm oak-effect top and slim black metal frame marry industrial edge with a homely feel. It sits equally well in a city loft or a country kitchen - tuck the benches away when you’re not using them to save space, then dress the table with a simple linen runner and a cluster of ceramic vases for everyday dining. Add seat pads or chunky-knit cushions to the benches for extra comfort, and layer a natural-fibre rug beneath to anchor the setting and introduce texture.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
