Our Stylist Says
I really like this plush velvet bed for its bold colour and luxurious texture, making it a standout piece in the bedroom. The yellow adds warmth and personality, especially suited to contemporary or eclectic interiors, but it can also bring a cheerful pop of colour to more neutral schemes. To style around it, consider pairing with muted or metallic accents in your linens and décor to keep the focus on the bed without overwhelming the space. It works particularly well in rooms with simple, clean-lined furniture, allowing its vibrancy to take centre stage. Practical tips include opting for bedding in softer tones to balance the brightness, and adding textured cushions or throws for extra depth and comfort. Overall, it’s a statement piece that can elevate the design without complicated styling.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
