Description

Our Carmella pendant is sure to bring a sophisticated and elegant straight into your home in a truly breath-taking fashion, as the smooth curves of the glass and contrasting colour tints offer a unique twist to a modern design. An inner champagne coloured shade gives a softer glow across the room, whilst the complimenting copper accents give an industrial hint to the hanging pendant light.

Our Stylist Says

I love this copper pendant for its sleek, contemporary appeal with a warm metallic touch. It works particularly well in modern or industrial interiors, adding a subtle touch of sophistication without overpowering the space. For styling, I’d suggest hanging it over kitchen islands, dining tables, or even in a cosy reading nook. Pairing it with metallic accents or warm-toned decor can enhance its copper finish, while keeping the surroundings pared-back ensures it remains a striking focal point. Its compact size makes it versatile for different room sizes, and with the right bulb choice, it can offer both functional and ambient lighting.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
