Description

There’s no better neutral base than the Capsularis Rug; handwoven from water reeds, with no machine involvement, this is a floor covering with eco-friendly credentials. Water reeds are a long, broad-leafed grass that have been used for centuries for roof thatching. It follows, then that this rug will bring natural warmth to flagstone, tiled or wooden floors. Due to the natural materials used and the manual process, the colour will vary from piece to piece making it utterly unique.

Our Stylist Says

I love the water reed rug for its natural, understated texture, which adds warmth and a touch of organic charm to various interiors. Its neutral tone makes it versatile, working particularly well in coastal, boho, or minimalist spaces. You can style it under dining tables, in open-plan living areas, or even in bedrooms to create a calming foundation. Practical tips include pairing it with light wood furniture or soft textiles to enhance its natural aesthetic, and opting for low-pile or flatweave pieces like this to ensure easy cleaning and durability in high-traffic areas. It’s an excellent option for adding texture without overwhelming the space.
