I’m a fan of this Canyon Lane bookcase for its clean lines and mixed-finish detail. The warm walnut door paired with the dark-stained frame makes it versatile enough for Scandi-inspired living rooms, contemporary studies or a modern-farmhouse hallway. The metal legs lift the piece, keeping the look light and preventing it from feeling too bulky.
Styling tip: balance the open shelves with the concealed lower section by alternating books (both vertical and horizontal stacks) with small potted plants or sculptural objects. Leave a little breathing room around each group to avoid clutter and use the width of the shelves to layer items - try a framed photo or slim artwork at the back, then a vase in front. That mix of textures and heights really brings the unit to life.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
