Description

Cal Fire Rated LED IP65 Downlight, Antique Copper

Our Stylist Says

I love this LED downlight for its blend of practicality and aesthetic appeal. Its antique copper finish adds a warm, vintage touch that works particularly well in rustic, industrial, or traditional interiors, but it can also provide a striking contrast in modern spaces with minimalist palettes. The fire-rated and IP65 rating makes it suitable for both living areas and humid environments like bathrooms or kitchens, offering versatility. When styling, consider using these lights to highlight key architectural features or to add ambient lighting in coves and tray ceilings. For a cohesive look, pair with other copper or brass accents to create a curated, layered space that balances function with style.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
