For the Caernarfon cushions, Majeda Clarke uses surplus fabric from the weaving production. Each cushion comes with a feather pad and a cotton fabric back which compliments each colour way. The Caernarfon design was developed centuries ago by weaving masters in Wales, through their understanding of the intricacies of the loom they created an effective double cloth pattern. Majeda Clarke fell in love with the tradition and by effectively recolouring the design with modern pops of colour she hopes to keep the tradition alive. The Caernarfon Collection is woven on traditional powered looms, at a small mill nestled in a quiet valley in Wales. The Caernarfon Coral design is woven with 100% lambswool which is ethically sourced from an environmentally conscious British spinner.
I love this cushion for its vibrant, geometric pattern and versatile colour palette, making it a great choice for adding a pop of colour to neutral or muted interiors. It works especially well in boho, Scandinavian, or eclectic spaces, where the pattern can act as an eye-catching accent. For practical styling tips, try pairing it with textured throws and natural fibres to create a relaxed, inviting look. It’s also perfect for layering on a sofa or bed, adding both comfort and visual interest without overwhelming the space.
