For the Caernarfon cushions, Majeda Clarke uses surplus fabric from the weaving production. Each cushion comes with a feather pad, and a cotton fabric back which compliments each colour way. The Caernarfon design was developed centuries ago by weaving masters in Wales, through their understanding of the intricacies of the loom they created an effective double cloth pattern. Majeda Clarke fell in love with the tradition and by effectively recolouring the design with modern pops of colour she hopes to keep the tradition alive. The Caernarfon Collection is woven on traditional powered looms, at a small mill nestled in a quiet valley in Wales. The Caernarfon Coral design is woven with 100% lambswool which is ethically sourced from an environmentally conscious British spinner.
The Caernarfon raspberry is a great choice for adding a touch of colour and texture to both contemporary and boho interiors. I love its rich hue combined with the geometric pattern, which makes it versatile enough to work on sofas or armchairs in living rooms or relaxed bedrooms. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with neutral tones or other patterns for a layered, inviting look. It’s also practical-adding a pop of colour and comfort without overwhelming the space. Perfect for creating a cosy yet stylish vibe in an eclectic or understated scheme.
