Our Stylist Says

The Cadiz Cushion in terracotta is a versatile and stylish accessory that adds warmth and texture to any space. I love its earthy tone, which works particularly well in both contemporary and rustic interiors, creating a cosy, inviting feel. It pairs effortlessly with neutral palettes, such as whites, creams, and greys, or can add a rich pop of colour in more eclectic schemes. Practical styling tips include layering it with other cushions to create depth, or placing it on a textured throw for a relaxed, approachable vibe. This cushion is perfect for introducing a tactile element to sofas, armchairs, or even beds, making it a handy addition to elevate your interior design with minimal effort.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
