Description

Traditional drum shades with a contemporary twist, our cadet blue cotton light shades have a striking gold metallic inner that beautifully reflects light around the room.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this cadet blue shade for a lamp shade; it offers a sophisticated yet versatile colour that works well in both contemporary and classic interiors. Its 18-inch size makes it ideal for larger lamps, providing a substantial but balanced look. It pairs beautifully with neutral palettes, especially whites and greys, but can also add a pop of colour to darker or moodier spaces. To style it effectively, consider using it in living rooms or bedrooms where a calm, refined aesthetic is desired. Practical tips include matching it with complementary accessories - like cushions or decor in similar blue tones or metallic accents - and ensuring the bulb used complements the shade’s colour and lining to maximise the interior glow.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
