Here is a reissue of the famous Butterfly wall light created in 1964 by Norwegian designer Sven Ivar Dysthe. This metal wall light is made up of 3 nested cylindrical elements. Characterised by its iconic winged shape, the original version gave rise to a new model made of perforated metal. Overlapping perforated panels diffuse light through the openwork surface to create unique, vibrant lighting. Like a butterfly, the body of the wall light projects light towards the two "wings" which reflect it, thus creating a play of poetic, indirect light. You’ll love the retro charm of the pull switch under the wall light. A true icon of 60s Scandinavian design, this lamp is now a must-have item. Sven Ivar Dysthe, artisan designer, is often referred to as the child prodigy of modern Norwegian design. His genius is to find simple solutions to complex problems with elegance. His works have won numerous national and international awards and feature in many museums such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the National Museum in Stockholm.
