Description
Expressionistic lines are created using the artist's preferred "wet on wet" technique, which means paint is applied to a still-wet surface. About the artist Barbara Howey is a modern, expressionistic painter whose artworks are inspired by both the animal and plant world. Often painted in just one sitting, the artist's works are frequently characterised by stains and drips.
Our Stylist Says
I really like this piece because it introduces a natural, almost organic feel that works well in both modern and cosy interiors. It’s great for adding colour and texture without being overly bold, making it versatile for living rooms, bedrooms, or even hallways. When styling it, consider pairing it with minimalist furniture to let the artwork stand out, or position it with neutral tones around it to create a calming focal point. Practical tip: hang it at eye level for full impact, and complement it with simple frame options to keep the focus on the artwork itself.

About Soho Home
From Humble Requests to Global Homes
Soho Home's journey began from a simple love for their unique designs. The brand's inception was sparked by guests' desires to take a piece of Soho Houses with them, cherishing their favourite items from these comforting spaces.
This led to the birth of Soho Home in 2016 with their Barwell crystal glassware. Fast forward, the brand has expanded beyond just a few staples, encompassing a wide array of interior items ranging from furniture and tableware to home fragrances and textiles.

Every location, with its distinct culture and history, serves as a muse for Soho Home's collections. This is evident in their specific pieces, like the elegant Manette bed found in Kettner's or the dazzling Juliana chandelier gracing the DUMBO House.
