Price History

Description

The Burford is a new twist on the classic Victorian dormitory-style metal bed. The brushed finish is hand-painted, making each bed frame unique. The frame features lovely detailed castings on the head and footboards giving it an authentic character. The antiqued effect makes the Burford bed visually perfect for period styled homes, or it makes the perfect bed for a modern industrial styled room. The bed includes a black metal guest bed trundle. Note The trundle is intended to be used as a separate bed, and not put against the main bed. Due to the nature of the trundle bed, we recommend a mattress no greater than 15cm in depth.

Our Stylist Says

I love this bed frame for its vintage Victorian charm combined with practicality. The bronze finish adds warmth and character, making it ideal for eclectic, industrial, or traditional interiors. Its folding guest trundle makes it a smart choice for maximise space, especially in guest rooms or smaller bedrooms. To style around it, consider pairing it with neutral or muted bedding to highlight the antique metalwork, while adding textured cushions or throws for comfort. Incorporating some vintage bedside tables or brass lamps can enhance its period appeal, and keeping the decor simple allows the bed to be a focal point without overwhelming the space.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
