Our Stylist Says
This sofa strikes a classic balance of comfort and style, making it a versatile choice for various interiors. I love its substantial yet welcoming shape, which works well in both traditional and contemporary spaces. The fabric Grade A adds durability and a touch of luxury, perfect for family rooms or lounge areas. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral or warm-toned accessories to highlight its understated elegance, and add layered cushions and throws in contrasting textures or colours to create a cosy, lived-in look. It’s particularly well-suited for spaces that aim for a relaxed, inviting vibe, and works beautifully with wooden or neutral palettes for a timeless finish.

About Downtown
Centuries of History and Growth
Downtown isn't just another store; they're a company with over two centuries of history! The journey began in the Lincolnshire town of Boston in 1804, when visionaries John Oldrid and Richard Hyde started their retail adventure by purchasing a modest retail unit.
The timeline of their growth is nothing short of impressive. From the launch of Downtown Boston in 1981, the grand opening of Downtown Grantham in 1989, to the launch of their transactional website in 2009, Downtown has evolved and adapted while preserving its essence.
Today, they proudly operate successful stores in Grantham and Boston, complemented by an expansive garden centre, continuing their tradition as a family-owned business that has thrived for over 200 years.
Unrivalled Selections and Expertise
When one thinks of Downtown, variety and quality come to mind. From exquisite furniture brands like Stressless, Parker Knoll, and Ercol to household names such as Smeg, KitchenAid, and Dyson, the store offers an expansive range catering to every need and desire.
Whether one is revamping their garden, refreshing their home interiors, or searching for the latest fashion brands like Barbour and Joules, Downtown is the ultimate destination.
Digital Presence and Personal Touch
Understanding the evolving needs of their customers, Downtown has established a strong online presence. Their website showcases over 20,000 products, offering the convenience of browsing from home and either opting for click-and-collect from their Grantham site or delivery across the UK.
The entire process, from warehousing to distribution, is managed from the Grantham site, ensuring seamless service. And it's not just about transactions; it's about building relationships.
With a team that takes pride in every order and goes the extra mile, the personal touch that Downtown offers is unparalleled. Their family ethos and dedication to customer satisfaction truly distinguish this independent business from the rest.
