Marble processing begins with extracting large blocks from quarries using techniques like diamond wire saws or controlled blasting. The blocks are then transported to processing plants, where they're cut into slabs using multi-wire saws. Finally, the slabs are smoothed, polished, and often treated with marble powder filler to fill cracks before being cut to their final shape for various applications. Marble's unique and varied appearance is shaped by its geological origins and the mineral impurities present during its formation. The signature veining, colours, and patterns make each slab unique, which is why marble is highly valuable in architecture and design. Different regions around the world are famous for their unique marble quarries, each with its own characteristics.
