I’m a fan of this square dark-oak table for its clean lines and compact footprint - it feels substantial without dominating the room. The slim black frame pairs effortlessly with contemporary, industrial or Scandi schemes, and it’s equally at home in a mid-century setting when you layer in warm textiles and muted tones.
For styling, keep the top simple: a low ceramic vase or bowl, a small stack of art books and a slim metal tray to corral remotes or candles. Leave some negative space so the geometry reads clearly, and consider tucked-away baskets on the floor beneath for throws or magazines to balance form with function.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
