I really rate the Brooklyn nest tables for their mix of warm, reclaimed-look tops and slim black metal frames - they add character without overwhelming a space. They work particularly well in industrial, Scandi or contemporary living rooms where you want a touch of rustic texture alongside cleaner lines. For styling, tuck the smaller table partially under the larger to vary height, then use them to hold a sculptural vase, a small stack of art books or a potted succulent. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
