I’m a big fan of what I’ll call the Brooklyn table - its simple oak-effect top and black iron frame make it a versatile piece that suits urban industrial, Scandi-inspired and contemporary living rooms alike. The open shelf adds practical storage without looking bulky, so it works well in smaller spaces or as a secondary coffee surface in open-plan areas.
For styling, balance a stack of your favourite coffee-table books with a low vase or sculptural object on the top, and use the shelf below for woven baskets or neatly arranged throws and magazines. Keep accessories minimal to let the clean lines stand out, and tie in other metal accents around the room - think lamp bases or picture frames - to create a cohesive look.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
