Description
Enjoy balanced support with a traditionally crafted finish in the British Bed Company Cotton Pocket 1200 Chenille Mattress. Designed with a medium tension feel, this mattress combines responsive spring support with deep comfort fillings for a comfortable and supportive night’s sleep. At its core are 1200 individually pocketed springs that respond independently to your body’s movements, helping to distribute weight evenly and provide targeted support. The independent spring system also helps reduce motion transfer, making it a practical choice for couples. Deep, soft cotton fillings add generous cushioning and help create a comfortable sleeping surface. Hypoallergenic fibre fillings provide further comfort, while the luxury two-way stretch cover offers a soft and flexible finish. The mattress is hand tufted to help secure the internal fillings and maintain its shape over time. Chenille fabric detailing adds a premium finishing touch, while convenient side handles make turning and positioning easier. A reinforced Bulldog border provides firm edge support, helping to reduce sagging around the perimeter and maximise the usable sleeping surface. With a depth of approximately 26cm, the mattress offers a substantial profile without being overly deep. Its double-sided construction allows it to be turned regularly, helping to maintain comfort and extend its usable life. Made in Britain and backed by a five year warranty, this mattress combines dependable support with the traditional craftsmanship associated with British Bed Company.
Our Stylist Says
The British Bed Company cotton pocket 1200 is a practical choice for a clean, crisp look in any bedroom. Its white finish adds a fresh, airy feel that works particularly well in minimalist, Scandi, or contemporary interiors. I love how versatile it is - pairing easily with both soft fabrics like linen or velvet and more structured pieces. To style it effectively, consider layering with neutral or pastel bedding for a calm vibe, and add textured cushions or throws for visual interest. It's also worth noting that the pocket spring system delivers good support, making it a practical staple for both guest and primary bedrooms. Overall, this bed frame combines simplicity with functionality, making it a reliable base for almost any bedroom aesthetic.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
