Description
The universe of Belgian designer Axelle Vertommen is characterised by sharp contrasts of colours, shapes and materials. His creative vocabulary is undeniably inspired by modernist architect, and there is certain influence from the Memphis movement. For Matière Grise, Axelle Vertommen created Brion: steel lighting inspired by the funeral complex constructed by brutalist architect Carlo Scarpa in memory of Giuseppe Brion, an Italian industrial figure, at the request of his wife. Including some lines from of this architecture, Brion,in the hollow of its geometric folds, reveals indirect and warming light. This Brion lamp can be installed horizontally or vertically, on the floor or on furniture. The Brion collection is an ode to perfect geometry. These free-standing lamps are illuminated pieces that will add an original stroke of light to your décor. Curate your colourful assemblies!
