Brer Rabbit also known as Brother Rabbit was inspired by a 17th century Italian silk first registered for fabric production in 1882 and named after the Uncle Remus childrens books popular at the time. The wallpaper has been reproduced from the original fabric and comes in a range of colours to co-ordinate with a new range of textiles. Shown here in a church red colourway. Use the Brer Rabbit wallpaper for a feature wall in a bedroom and hallway or perhaps to cover an entire living room or dining room. This wallpaper is part of the Morris Volume IV wallpapers collection. Application Method: paste the wall and then apply wallpaper. Pattern match:Straight. Vertical repeat: 40.6cm.
I love the Brer Rabbit wallpaper for its classic Morris design, which brings a timeless and intricate pattern to any room. Its rich, warm Church Red Biscuit tone makes it particularly suited to traditional or vintage-inspired interiors, but it can also provide a striking feature wall in more contemporary schemes. When styling with this paper, consider pairing it with muted or neutral accessories to let the pattern shine, or use antique furnishings to enhance its historical feel. Practical tips include keeping furniture and décor simple to balance the elaborate design, and ensuring the wall’s pattern remains the focal point by choosing minimal window treatments and accessories. This wallpaper creates a strong visual statement that works well in living rooms, bedrooms, or even hallways where a touch of historic charm is desired.
