Brer Rabbit also known as Brother Rabbit was inspired by a 17th century Italian silk first registered for fabric production in 1882 and named after the Uncle Remus childrens books popular at the time. The wallpaper has been reproduced from the original fabric and comes in a range of colours to co-ordinate with a new range of textiles. Shown here in a church red colourway. Use the Brer Rabbit wallpaper for a feature wall in a bedroom and hallway or perhaps to cover an entire living room or dining room. This wallpaper is part of the Morris Volume IV wallpapers collection. Application Method: paste the wall and then apply wallpaper. Pattern match:Straight. Vertical repeat: 40.6cm.
I love Brer Rabbit wallpaper for its classic Morris & Co design, which brings a sense of timeless charm and natural elegance. It works particularly well in traditional or heritage-style interiors, but can also add warmth and character to more contemporary spaces when used as an accent wall. For practical styling, consider pairing it with neutral or soft-coloured furniture to highlight the intricate pattern without overwhelming the room. It’s also versatile enough for use in living rooms, bedrooms, or even hallways, where its detailed, nature-inspired motif can become a focal point. When styling around this, keep accessories minimal and let the wallpaper be the star for a balanced, cohesive look.
